This reading is a script between two friends who are out enjoying a meal at arestaurant. Students are introduced to the conditional form of verbs as used for polite requests. (eg. Je voudrais …) The reading includes a short glossary of new vocabulary and seven true/false reading comprehension questions in English OR French to confirm comprehension. Also includes the same reading with no glossary and the reading comprehension section in French for differentiated learning. Activity idea: after reading the script in groups of three, have students write their own script to perform for the class where they role-play going out to eat. Includes answer key.
